unit 1 standard translation

this standard is saying that students will be able to relate to literature in two ways. one way to better understand literature is if a person can relate to a peice of literature based on an experience that they may have had in the past, or present. a person can also better understand literature by relating that literature to society or something that may be going on in society. and also by comparing it to someones elses past or present experience in life. basically people can better understand literature by comparing their acknowledgement to that moral of literature.
